The Byre, where the cows used to be milked, has been converted into a comfortable and spacious two bedroom house sleeping four people in two en suite bedrooms (one double with bath and shower attachment, and one twin). The twin is a ‘zip and link’ which can be converted to a large double on request. To take advantage of the beautiful views of the fields and valley, it is an upside down house, with the living area upstairs. There is a child gate at the top of the stairs.
The living and dining area is open plan, with the original old ‘scissor’ beams exposed, giving the cottage loads of character. Twelve cows used to be milked here, and the names on their mangers are now on the wall in honour of the previous residents! The main and second bedrooms are downstairs looking out onto the patio. Outside there is a small lawn and a patio area, ideal for a good summer barbeque!
The Byre is available from Easter through to the end of September. Linen, towels and heating are included in the rental. Afraid no dogs in this cottage (but one is welcome in The Stables).
Prices for a week start at £545, increasing to £895 in peak season. Lettings are from Friday to Friday.
